Church Committees and Organizations
Elders
Head Elder: John Mathweg
The Board of Elders is an elected group of men that oversee
the physical needs of pastor and his family. The Elders
keep a watchful eye over the teaching and preaching of
God's Word within both the church and the school. They
also assist the Pastor to help him carry out his primary
spiritual duties. They promote Christian love and service
within the church and work for strict adherence to sound
doctrine and practice.
Stewardship
Chairman: Tom Carroll
The Stewardship committee consists of no less than 3 members
of the congregation. This committee encourages the membership
of the congregation to give freely of their time, talents,
and treasures to the Lord's work.
Evangelism
Chairman: Leonard Newell
The Evangelism committee consists of no less than 4 members
of the congregation. This committee works to bring the
Gospel of Jesus Christ to the unbelieving souls of the
area.
Council
Chariman: Kevin Peterson
The church council is the governing body over all committees.
They aid the pastor in the spiritual affairs of the church.
They are accountable for good order in the services. They
care in love for the poor, sick, widowed and orphaned
of the church. The members consult together concerning
the total spiritual and physical well-being of the congregation.
They carry out assignments as directed to them by the
congregation.
Board
of Education
Chairman: Paul Pfeiffer
This board consist of not less than 4 elected voting members
of the congregation. They oversee all educational areas
of the congregations work, such as Sunday School, Lutheran
Elementary School, Vacation Bible School, instruction
classes, Bible classes, etc.
Maintenance
Chairman: Nathaniel Barckholtz
The maintenance committee assures that the buildings and
properties of the congregation are well-maintained.
Ladies
Guild
President: Jan Jason
This group consists of all women members of the congregation.
They work together to maintain the beauty within the church.
They arrange for altar goods and care, assist in mission
work within the church and community. The Ladies Guild
is a member of the LWMS(Lutheran
Womens Missionary Society)
