“Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold” (2 Corinthians 3:12).

Timidity. Uncertainty. Fear. Unsure. Cautious. Scared. When we aren’t confident about something it’s likely that we’ll feel some sort of uncertainty.

Our lives are often full of uncertainty. What will the future bring? What problem is waiting for me around the corner? What’s the doctor going to say next? What’s going to break next? What problem will I soon have to face?

So much uncertainty, so do we live our lives… cautiously? Timidly? Fearfully? Actually not. Rather, we are very bold and confident. Why? Because with regard to what matters most we have sure hope! Through faith we have seen Jesus' glory as the Son of God transfigured before the disciples. Through His word we witness His glory in His sufferings and death paying for our sins in full. Then on Easter we’ll see it again: His glory as He defeated sin, death, and hell for us!

You see, you have absolute certainty! You know for sure that your sins are forgiven in Jesus! You have absolute certainty that you are in a right standing before God! You have absolute confidence that you’ll be in heaven when you die!

See the glory of the Gospel! Live in confidence and boldness!

Confident in my Savior, just like you,
Pastor Nitz
